Design gamepad vibration patterns without setting up an engine project

RumbleForge is a compact offline editor for indie developers. Build a timed sequence, adjust its strong and weak motor intensities, preview the pattern visually, and export it for your game.

Open one HTML file in your browser. The editor, pattern files, visual preview, and exports work offline, with no account, cloud service, API keys, or installation.

Full version — $4.99

  • Up to 64 segments per pattern and eight included presets.
  • Strong and weak motor values for every segment.
  • One to eight repetitions, with a configurable gap between them.
  • Save editable JSON pattern files; import from a file or pasted JSON.
  • Export Godot 4 GDScript, Web JavaScript, or JSON.
  • Visual timing preview and optional live dual-rumble playback.
  • Local browser autosave and a New pattern action to reset the workspace.

Try the free demo

The free demo 1.1.1 edits patterns of up to 4 segments, with the Heavy Impact and Pickup presets, JSON saving and loading, visual preview, and up to eight repetitions. It exports JSON only. The paid edition includes the Godot 4 and Web JavaScript generators, all eight presets, and up to 64 segments. Try the demo with your own browser and controller before buying.

Timing limits

Segments can last 1–10,000 ms. Gaps between repetitions can be 0–5,000 ms. A complete pattern, including repetitions and gaps, can last up to 60,000 ms in either edition. There is no gap after the final repetition.

Live vibration and compatibility

Live vibration is optional. It requires a browser, driver, and controller that expose a Gamepad vibration actuator supporting dual-rumble. HTTPS or localhost is recommended for live playback because browser security rules may restrict Gamepad access. A detected controller is not a guarantee of vibration support.

You can edit, visually preview, and export patterns without a compatible controller. RumbleForge creates ordinary strong/weak motor patterns; it does not create adaptive-trigger effects or device-specific advanced haptics. Unity export is not included in this version.

Physical-controller playback has not been tested. Browser scheduling and hardware response can affect timing. Test your exported code in your target project and hardware.

Software checks include 14 passing automated core tests and Godot 4.7.2 headless export parsing and timing checks. The timing checks use simulated browser actuators or a disconnected Godot controller ID; they do not validate physical vibration.

Your work stays yours

Use and redistribute your generated patterns and export code in personal or commercial projects without attribution. You may modify your purchased editor for your own use and internal projects; redistribution or resale of the full editor is not allowed. The included license explains the application, demo, and output permissions.

What you download

The full package contains the single-file editor, a quick-start guide, license, and changelog. The demo is available separately. Save JSON copies of important patterns: browser autosave is local to your browser and is not a cloud backup.
